HI Education

Health Initiatives (HI) has grown and impacted sexual health beyond the classroom. Findings and information were presented at conferences including The Fresh Blood Conference, National Children’s Bureau and the NHS. Addressed MPs ‘All Parliamentary Group on AIDS (below left)’ and the Department of Health on sexual health issues, Section 28, young people and HIV/STI's. HI's workshops our adapted and tailored to the audience which has led to working with young offenders at HMS Holloway & HMS Bedford Prison (below right) amongst others.

Over the past 6 years we have reached over 7,000 young people through workshops, presentations and conferences across the UK. In the past we have worked in partnership with the Brent Community Health Council, The National Children's Bureau, UK Coalition of People Living with HIV/AIDS, National AIDS Trust and Student Partnership Worldwide to develop HI's services and a greater understanding of the issues impacting young people today. Clint was once again the only speaker from the UK living with HIV/AIDS to represent a 'youth face' to the virus for the 2004 Speaker tour, which led to initiating University Student Stop AIDS Societies across the UK.

Scene venues (bars & clubs) across London have provided support to HI's World AIDS Day campaigns have encouraged more young people to take control of their sexual health choices. HI also believes firmly in raising the profile of sexual health matters via many forms of the media, reaching well over an estimated 20 million viewers/listeners. The stunning singer Beverley Knight is our charity Patron and we will be working together to help get the message of HIV/STI's out to young people  - watch this space!
