HI For Schools

Standards of sex education in the UK have been put into question since a 2002 OFSTED report stated that schools have cut the time spent on HIV and Sex Education. The Schools Health Education Unit also found that 4 out of 10 teenage boys have not heard of a disease called AIDS. Sexual health messages are not reaching young people today in the UK resulting in the highest rates of STI’s and pregnancy in Western Europe.

YOUTH OUTREACH UNITED YOU
HI provided educational workshops and trainings, for young people and professionals working with HIV positive youth. The project has reached over 7,000 young people across the UK and is designed to educate and encourage young peoples’ involvement in sexual health matters in schools, youth groups, University Stop AIDS Societies, Student Partnership Worldwide (SPW) lesbian and gay groups and young offenders in prisons.
