Health Initiatives (HI) Aims to Empower Young People Under 30 Living With HIV/AIDS.
This site will provide you with information on HIV Charity Health Initiatives - HI, HIV/AIDS, young people and our plan to open the UK's ONLY weekend HIV testing centre on Oxford Street. Start By clicking in the box - at the top right of the screen -for the section of the website that interests you. To find out further information check the "More" box on the right of the screen or the downloadable documents at the bottom of the page. We will soon be adding more information to the website with on-line videos - so watch this space and keep checking for more updates.
The clinic costs £200 000 per year to run. We have found a building on OXFORD STREET and have received backing to cover the first year rent of £43k. In order to secure the 1200 Square foot space we need to generate 50,000 texts to cover costs for a Doctor, Nurses and HIV testing kits. PLEASE text "hi clinic" to 84424 to make a Donation of £1.50 with over a pound going to the clinic!
HI provides tailored services & trainings with accurate, age appropriate information and counselling that motivates young people to take control of their lives when testing and living with HIV/AIDS. We also provide Support/Trainings/Advice/Freephone & Referrals for young poeple on HIV/STI's.
- HI Clinic to Provide 1-Hour Weekend HIV Testing (+ Emergency PEP Treatment to reduce risk of infection within 72 hours of infection)
- Full STI check - up
- Follow-up support services for young people under 30 living with HIV in the week
- Holistic services, working with other projects and charities in the week (Mon-Fri)
- Educational trainings and workshops
- Support groups and woking with hard to reach groups of young people
