1 MILLION texts is a massive number of people to reach but for the price of a £3 text we can all make a HUGE difference to young people living with HIV/AIDS in the UK. For every HIV infection we prevent we are saving the Government and the Tax payer half a million pounds over the course of a lifetime in hospital care & treatments. There are currently over 10,000 people in London unawre of their HIV status and therefore putting more people at risk to infection.
Anyone who has been to a hospital/GUM for a sexual health screening will understand the NEED to set a unique service for young people. With countless reports of delays and waiting lists forever longer - the time has never been greater for this service.
I'm counting on the fact that there are millions of people across the UK who has at some time accessed the NHS. By reaching this target we can help provide knowledge and power to young people living with HIV/AIDS without fear of social stigma. Please text 'AIMHI' to 83338 to provide:
